一方で私は魚を釣り上げるたびに釣らなければよかったという思いに駆られました。この感覚は間違ってはいないと思います。…いま釣りはしません。とはいえ大自然の中で暮らすことになれば、熱心な釣り師あるいは猟師になることでしょう。
The repugnance to animal food is not the effect of experience, but is an instinct.
動物性の食べ物を避ける理由は、経験ではなく直感によるものです。
It may be vain to ask why the imagination will not be reconciled to flesh and fat. I am satisfied that it is not.
